Support For a brighter tomorrow
My Education and Approach to Therapy
I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of La Verne and my Master’s in Social Work from California Baptist University. I also hold a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in Child Welfare and Attendance (PPSC-CWA) from UCLA, and am a Reiki Master.
My approach blends clinical knowledge with an appreciation for the mind-body connection. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, attachment-informed work, and somatic-informed practices, tailoring our sessions to your needs and preferences. My Reiki background informs my appreciation for holistic wellness, while your comfort and choices guide our work.
My Personal Journey with Chronic Illness
My passion for supporting people with chronic illness is deeply personal. After living in a water-damaged home, my daughter and I began experiencing unexplained health problems. I searched for answers and care while trying to understand what was happening to both of us.
Along the way, I was told it was “just anxiety.” Being given that explanation while we continued to struggle left me feeling unheard and uncertain about where to turn.
Eventually, I found a physician who had experienced mold-related illness herself. That was the first time I heard the terms CIRS, MARCoNS, and later MCAS and everything started to make sense. Learning about my diagnosis gave me a new framework for understanding my experiences and pursuing care.
That journey shaped how I listen to others. I know how exhausting it can feel to search for answers, advocate for yourself, and manage the emotional weight of ongoing symptoms.
Navigating Perimenopause and Hormone Sensitivity
As I was learning to navigate chronic illness, perimenopause brought another layer of challenges. I found myself needing to learn deeply about my own hormones and responses, including severe progesterone intolerance.
Once again, I had to ask questions, seek support, and become a strong advocate for my own needs. These experiences strengthened my passion for helping people navigate the emotional impact of perimenopause, menopause, and complex health concerns.
My experience is my own, and I approach your story with curiosity. In therapy, we can make room for the frustration, grief, uncertainty, and changes in identity that may accompany these experiences, while supporting your emotional well-being alongside your medical care.
Helping You Feel Less Alone
I’m passionate about helping others facing these challenges find some peace in knowing they are not alone. You deserve a place where you can speak openly about what you’re going through without feeling that you must prove how difficult it has been.
Through a holistic lens, we’ll explore your needs, build on your strengths, and work toward coping strategies, boundaries, and moments of connection that feel meaningful to you.
Life Beyond the Therapy Room
Outside of my work, I enjoy hiking, cooking, and taking road trips with my daughter. Time outdoors, preparing a meal, and exploring somewhere new give me opportunities to slow down and connect with the people and experiences I love.
